The number of COVID-19 patients MJH catered is a testament of its commitment to the nation and to the government in this fight against the pandemic disease. COVID-19 will surely test the hospital capacity as a health provider including its medical experts. Through time, MJH has endured several tests of faith but in God’s grace, it was able to fulfill its mission of delivering quality health services.
As of April 19, 2020, Mary Johnston Hospital (MJH) Emergency Unit was able to examine a total of 1,673 patients and 709 patients were considered as Patient Under Investigation (PUI). Of these PUIs, 176 were tested for COVID-19 through OPS or NPS. Sixteen (16) cases were laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 positive, 52 cases were tested negative, and 108 cases await results from RITM.
MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA INYONG PATULOY NA SUPORTA!
Today, as the country’s health facilities stand together in this fight against COVID-19 pandemic, 200 of our brave front liners composed of Doctors, Nurses, Med techs, Xray and Ancillary are standing behind MJH. We will not fail you. Your overwhelming support helps our men and women front liner workers to endure daily fear as we continue our mission to serve. Your blessings likewise fuel the institution’s limited resources to continue its mission to heal. On behalf of MJH management, its 200 brave front liners and the Board of Trustees, please accept our deepest appreciation for all the DONATIONS such as Food, Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), and other health essential supplies we continue to receive.
The absence of vaccines makes the road to recovery bumpy and the fear is growing, but with God nothing is impossible. MJH takes on a whole of society approach, where partnerships for health are seen as necessary for restitution and restoration.
In God’s grace, we will heal as one.
