Read story here : MJH is truly blessed with the General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM)April 16, 2020
Through the years, the General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM) has been in partnership with the Mary Johnston Hospital (MJH) Inc., as the latter continues to bring change to its community through better health and transform the institution within the framework of a holistic approach to healing. The recent COVID-19 health crisis has brought fear and uncertainty to many, especially to the health workers, presenting a much greater challenge to the institution. Being a small hospital with limited resources to respond to this kind of crisis, MJH shifted to maintain an essential skeletal force to limit staff exposure, protect its front-line health workers and repurpose the medical annex to be COVID-only rooms to continue to focus and deliver quality health services. Upon a request and quick decisive coordinative meeting of its central, regional and local offices, GBGM extended its resources to complement MJH yet again.
Truly, the MJH community is blessed with the GBGM extended institutional support for much needed protective personnel equipment (PPEs). On behalf of 200 front liners composed of Doctors, Nurses, Med techs, Xray and Ancillary personnel who are made safe from this initiative, together with the Board of Trustees, please accept our deepest appreciation. MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA INYONG PATULOY NA SUPORTA! Your commitment lifts the spirits of our front-line workers to continue fighting so that our brethren and countrymen can see its continuing mission to heal.
As of April 12, 2020, a total of 1,457 patients were examined in the ER. 647 patients were considered as Patient Under Investigation (PUI). Of these PUIs, 73 were tested for COVID-19 through OPS or NPS. 12 cases were laboratory confirmed COVID-19 positive, 45 cases were tested negative, and 16 cases awaits results from RITM.
The road to recovery is bumpy and the fear is real, but with God nothing is impossible. MJH takes on a whole of society approach, where partnerships for health are seen as necessary for restitution and restoration. In God’s grace, we will heal as one.
MABUHAY PO KAYO!
